A lot of times ear issues are directly related to diet. Your dog may have an allergy to something that you are feeding him. Most dog foods contain fillers, such as corn, wheat, and other low-grade additives to help bulk up the food without bulking up the price. My suggestion would be to try either a different kibble (not one that you find in Walmart), or to try a raw diet.
