Religion for the Atheist/Evolutionist?

I would say there is no "deep, cosmological theory of evolution". Not to say creationism/religion has the right answer. I think if you are going to say the universe is slowly evolving really holds no significance, how can a whole system better adapt to itself? I would have to say evolution is just a biological phenomenon and the existence of the universe has different origins/explanations. So, to try and broaden the theory of evolution is a fool's pursuit.
