NEED ADVICE PLEASE!! WILL RETURN THE FAVOR :)?

Ok so I have golden blonde hair. And I'm dying to get lighter blonde hair! Like Gwen Stefani, Or how Scarlett Johanson had it before. I know that color does not lift color. But I had previously dyed my hair Ultra light sun blonde Revlon brand and for the first week it was great but the color washed out VERY QUICKLY! Please can some one tell me what brand last long and what color will give me the blonde i want pleasee :) I really cant afford a possessional at the time if not i would have gone to one lol thankk u
