What the **** is gonna happen here? pls help, i like this girl a lot and i care about her so much, but she ...?

is hurting me. im so confused.if ive known a girl for 2 months and she had a bf the whole time but we became really good friends do i have a chance with her once she breaks up with him? well it happened( they broke up). i had really bad timing in telling her how i felt about her, abut 30 mins before i found out they broke up today. im not sure if they are gonna get back together, i didnt want her to have to talk about it too much. i told her that no matter what happens, ever, ill always care about her, and ill always be there for her. she said she doesnt plan on having relationships for a while; so i plan on having things going back to the way they were( except hopefully less awkward, bc maybe i can start to hold her hand and such when we walk; i really do care about her a lot). but yeah so if i stay good friends with her do u think things may work out eventually?o and now she is back with her boyfriend today...wtf? what should i do, am i doomed to be just friends, and if that is the case it is going to be soo hard for me, and im afraid we may loose our friendship, i cant help it that i want more.
