Transplanted rose is wilting..bad...help?

I just moved a small rose bush from the ground to a pot and now it's wilting! It started out as only the leaves wilting but now the stem has started too, and where it wilts (thorns specifcally) it's...well there's no other word for it......it's soggy! When I moved it to the pot I put miracle grow in it..was that the wrong thing to do? Can it be saved? Plus, it's supposed to go below 40 tonight, should I bring it in after replanting it?
