What can i do to get comfortable?

I am very congested and i keep coughing but i can't get any of the mucus to come up. I can't breathe because my nose is stopped up and i can't breathe out of my mouth well either. I have some promethazine vc syrup from my doctor but it is not helping. I can't stop coughing and it is making my whole body sore. Painful to breathe through my mouth as well, and that is my only option right now. My lungs and stuff hurt now, because i coughed so much. Is there anything i can do to comfort myself at all?
