Beginner at APA Pool, 8 & 9 Ball Rules?

Well, I may be starting on a league soon, and i'm super stoked! I'm probably ranking at a 2, which is good for me, I can work my way up. Any tips, complete rules, fun out of this? Please, let me know! I play for fun, so i'm not horrible :)
